Sorry blogger readers (if there are any left),  but i've not been doing too great motivationally.  Managed to kill the first lot of seedlings (onions, leeks and caulis). They got off to a good start with all of the seeds i sowed germinating in April, not going too leggy and lanky. For 2008 i planted the few remaining beefsteak seeds i had, some tumbling toms for the hanging baskets and also opened a packet of seeds that simply said "tomato" so i had no clue what variety of tomato i was going to get. After all our rocket and salad leaves being munched by flea beetle, now the vine weevil invasion has taken over.But now i've pulled all that up they've moved on......to my cabbages.....and the dwarf beans.....and the cauliflower and broccoli........oh and spot my other big issue in the photo above - a cabbage white egg. However, the second crop which are some seed that were sent to me by a swap partner in america have done really well. We would have eaten then but due to having access to the neighbours 2 large pots on their patio, the beans on there were a lot bigger and needed using first. I may get a couple more if they ripen up but i don't think it'll even reach double figures this year.  It is partly my fault i think. D made a comments form too where suprisingly the cherry cake faired very well. The worst comments were that it was "a bit dense" and one person comment how the "cherries were at the bottom". There seemed to be few comments on the cookies - it seems they disappeared quickly, and too fast to taste and make a comment! The excitment i felt was possibly a bit on the sad side but then when you see how much the brand new ones cost i think it's justified!
